Seven On Seven App

Another personal project here. My son plays football, and so did I when I was young. I get how football does their scoring but noticed that the refs at his games tend to just keep track on paper and often forget to keep tracking it. There would sometimes be arguments about the score between the coaches on both teams. My son noticed when it was certain refs they’d keep track of the score as well, just on paper.

Then my son started 7 on 7, a touch football game that focuses more on passing, no tackling, etc. It wasn’t around when I was his age and the scoring was a little different. I was getting lost in the score all the time, and the refs again, wouldn’t always track the score.

So I had my son help me design an app to keep track of the score. Its not fancy but works. It allows you to fix errors you may have made and catch up quickly. It automatically adds the correct points, you just tell it what is happening. Touch down? Interception? Turn over? All get different points.

The pity is that I made it just in time for the championship and his team was beat in the first game. So I only tested it for 1 game. But felt good!
