Document Template Filler
I had a friend at a different company and she was in charge of creating contracts. It wasn’t hard for her, just tedious work. She had the same contract she used over and over, but she’d need to replace certain things in it every time. Things like business name, purpose, address, contact info, dates, etc. It was a long list of things to update, and they were all over the multi-page document. It took a lot of time every time.
This isn’t new technology, but I streamlined it a little. I made a find and replace for her. First making a spreadsheet of all the data she needed to replace and the template replace text it would find and replace from. I made sure all the content in the contract was correct with the replace text and then I made a button for her to click in the spreadsheet. It would automatically find the template document, find and replace, and save as a PDF with the name she choose. Then she did with it what she needed. I could have had it email it to the customer as well but she didn’t need that.
